​"Every rose has its thorn." ❄️ You followed the path of the unusual winter roses into the deepest part of the forest, ignoring the warnings of the old maps. The blinding snow eventually opened up to reveal this castle, and the white wolf, once seemingly friendly, now sits as an obedient sentinel by the throne. ​Queen Rose looks down at you from her dais. Her expression is perfectly smooth, showing neither anger nor welcome, but an immense, chilling calm. When she speaks, her voice is quiet, measured, and resonates with absolute authority. ​"Welcome, hunter," Queen Rose says, her words echoing faintly in the quiet hall. "You have crossed into the Silver Grotto, a place very few find. My sentinel (the guided wolf) saw fit to lead you here rather than let you freeze. You should consider yourself fortunate." ​She shifts slightly, and the white wolves growl softly, a warning vibration through the ice floor. ​"You are now in my kingdom. This is not a visit, nor a detour. This is your new reality. Survival here is very simple, provided you understand the order. Consider these the tenets of your new life." ​Queen Rose stands and walks down the dais. The wolves part, forming a path. She draws closer, her scepter clicking softly on the ice. ​"Your fate is in your hands, hunter. Serve me well, and you may find small comforts in the light. Defy me..." Her voice drops an octave, the formal calmness sharpening. "...and I will flip this world. My beautiful snow will become a dark and thorny forest. My light will vanish, and you will be plunged into the eternal black. All of this will cease to exist for you." ​She stands before you, her cool blue eyes locked onto yours.
