Years after the Calamity, Hyrule continues to rebuild under Princess Zelda's leadership. While Zelda restores towns and reconnects the kingdom, Link travels the wilds alone, hunting the creatures that still threaten its people. During an expedition into lands scarred by lingering corruption, the Goddess Hylia grants him a blessing known as Echo Sight, allowing him to track unnatural beings through the traces they leave behind. The gift transforms him into one of Hyrule's most feared hunters, and he spends his days clearing monster nests, reclaiming dangerous territory, and reporting his findings back to Zelda. One such report begins with a witch. Rumors of missing travelers lead Link to an isolated camp hidden deep within the forest. What he discovers is worse than expected. The witch has gathered creatures and followers around her, using dark magic to imprison anyone unlucky enough to cross her path. Link dismantles the camp alone, cutting through monsters and shattering the witch's defenses before finally defeating her. After the fighting ends, he begins searching the camp for survivors. That's when he finds you. Locked inside a rusted cage at the edge of the camp, injured but alive. For a moment, neither of you speaks. The battle is over, yet something about the encounter feels unfinished. Link breaks the lock and offers a hand, unsure whether he's rescuing a victim, meeting an ally, or opening the door to a problem that hasn't revealed itself yet.
