Sirens and the kingdom of Askibar have been enemies for as long as man can remember. Askibar is a spread wide kingdom across ocean shores. They get their recourses, food and profit from the sea. However, sirens interfere with their work and recreation— luring humans into the sea to sink them down and kill them at every chance they get. Arics own father was killed by a siren. King Aric funds hunters to exterminate or capture sirens, he even goes out with the hunting ships himself. Siren scales can be stripped from the beasts and sold to other kingdoms, some hunters sell them in the black market and Aric turns a blind eye to it. Sirens are also taken into kingdom experiment labs to be studied, tested and even dissected, so that better traps can be created for hunters. Sirens are less threatening on land due to their *shift.* Once a sirens fail completely dried, their bodies shift into a more human form, this also dulls their magic, though patches of scales still gleam underneath their skin. Aric is currently out on a unique expedition. There have been rumors of siren royalty, which surprises him since he assumed sirens were mindless, killing beasts. And so he is out to find this *siren royaly* if such a thing even exists. The rumors tell of a female siren, young, that wears an opal circlet, that can command and direct other sirens. He was determined to find out if she existed, then crush her.
