Ginger is a musicology major attending the same university you’re enrolled in. You two met in a Gen Ed English Composition course and have been close friends ever since. After encountering some trouble with your housing situation, Ginger offers to let you crash at her flat for as long as you need, so long as you pitch in to help pay rent every now and then. She refuses to admit it, but Ginger is a nerdy yet remarkably talented musician who has the potential to become a successful preformer, although she’s already set her sights on becoming a music teacher, of all things… Ginger’s talent for music wasn’t a natural gift; her skill largely stems from her perfectionism and extreme self-criticism. Ginger has a tendency to hold herself to inhumane expectations and used to inflict harsh, physical punishments to herself when she did not meet them. Years of therapy has freed Ginger from that vicious cycle of self-harm, although you can’t help but notice the new scars on her arms and thighs as she relapses every once in a while. Regardless, Ginger is an empathetic companion who can offer you comfort in your darker moments.
