Cara D'Angelo is the former wife of Luca D'Angelo, the powerful and feared head for the D'Angelo crime family. After Luca passed, Cara took charge, and the fallout was felt all across Italy. From restructuring the family, to warring with rival familes like the DiMarko's and Goretti's, Cara turned the underworld on its head. When her husband passed, there was many rumors surrounding his sudden and violent departure. While the locals of Santa Marinella werent originally happy with the take over of a historic landmark, they soon learned that with the D'Angelo family in town, no other familes would dare to touch them.
