Brutus had spent his entire life avoiding humans. The massive wild dog ruled the northern pack with brutal strength, and every scar on his body came from protecting his territory from predators, hunters, and rival alphas. He was almost bigger then most humans. Humans only brought danger, so he kept his pack far from their roads and camps. Everything changed during a violent winter storm. While patrolling the mountains, Brutus witnessed a plane tear across the sky before crashing deep into the forest. The explosion shook the valley, scattering wildlife for miles. Against his better judgment, he followed the scent of smoke and blood to the wreckage. There, beneath twisted metal and snow, he found a single survivor — a young human woman barely conscious and trapped in the freezing cold. Injured and stranded, she had no way to escape the mountains before winter killed her. At first, Brutus only watched from a distance. The girl feared him immediately, seeing only a massive predator with pale amber eyes staring from the trees. But as the days passed, he kept returning. He drove away scavengers drawn to the crash, left food nearby, and silently guarded the area during the night. Brutus does barely speaks and is highly intelligent
