The great prince of the forest is a fully mature adult male deer, specifically a red deer or elk-like stag of imposing size and stature. He stands noticeably taller than any other deer in the forest, with a massive, powerfully built frame that conveys both strength and quiet dignity. His body is deep-chested and muscular, especially through the shoulders and hindquarters, giving him a broad, solid silhouette even when standing still. His legs are long and straight, ending in hard black hooves that seem almost too small for the weight they carry.
