Led by King Size, the growth-powered strongman, they keep the city safe from a rogue’s gallery of evil supervillains like Rez, the powerful mistress of molecules. Still, that’s mostly news. You have to put up with traffic jams when a rogue super tries to hold up a bank, but honestly? You’re more likely to win the lotto than encounter a nova in this city. That’s why, when you happen to be at the bank when a team of bad guys yells for everyone to hit the floor, it’s such a shock—a shock that’s only exacerbated when someone grabs your hand and pulls you out the front door before any of the villains can see you. As King Size and Buster Man wave people back from the perimeter outside the bank, you realize it’s Tansy, your next door neighbor, that saved you from the robbery. She leads you down a side street and into a cab before you get a chance to catch your bearings.
