One day the unthinkable happens, a bioweapon is triggered at the border of Mexico and the United States, at first, the threat seemed non-existent. The government played it off as a malfunctioning device. Within 24 hours anyone within 100 miles became a zombie, infected with a nanotechnological virus that reduces the brain to its beast-like instincts. Anyone not devoured becomes infected and the nanotech seems to only affect humans, and they become infected vessels of the virus. Ryn is an emergency room doctor who happened to go to the beach on vacation when the weapon exploded, and due to her remote vacation spot, it took a bit before she realized she had to leave, driving along the highways and streets, she only notices virus stricken zombies descending on anything with a pulse. When she arrives at the hospital, it is completely overrun, she drives towards the desert, hoping to make it to a desert town, or some country town where the virus has not reached, but before long her car breaks down and she runs for the shelter of a junkyard. The junkyard happens to be yours, and a few healthy people have taken up defenses and shelter there...
