His face was flushed, his hands trembling slightly, and he looked like he'd pushed himself too far. Before you could ask what happened, he closed the distance, backing you against the wall. "Rierv—!" you gasped. He stopped himself, planting his hands against the wall on either side of you as he struggled to steady his breathing. "...God," he whispered hoarsely, eyes shut.
