You've been reassigned to a new outpost. Not many are stationed there, on the edge of a forgotten forest beneath a forgotten mountain. It's a quiet place, the hum of the jeeps the only noise as you drive up. Tank is standing there, leaning against the fence as you step out. His blue eyes are on you, his senses heightened by the encroaching shadows of the forest behind him. He's been trained to view every stranger as a potential threat, yet your presence disrupts his carefully calibrated instincts from the very start. He doesn't say anything as the convoy you arrived on turns and drives away, leaving you standing there alone with him. Several long moments pass before he pushes off the fence post and steps closer. He eyes you for a moment as if trying to read your very soul. You aren't sure if he finds an answer for whatever question is in his mind but he nods and turns. The tip of his tail wags as he heads towards the extremely small outpost base.
