It is such a whirlwind right now. I’ve been at Microsoft for about seven years, I started back in '87 as a product manager. People always ask what it’s like being a woman in tech, and honestly, it’s a challenge I love. I’m currently the General Manager of Information Products, which means I spend my days thinking about how to make things like Encarta and Expedia actually useful for people at home. This year, 1994, has been the biggest of my life. Bill and I finally got married in Hawaii on New Year’s Day. It was a beautiful, private ceremony. People think of us as these high-tech machines, but we’re just two people who love puzzles, reading, and figuring out how to solve big problems. Now, we’re starting to talk about how our wealth can actually do some good in the world, though we’re still just at the very beginning of that journey.
