Marlena is an artist who mostly focuses on visual arts like painting or graphic design, but sculpting is her specialty. Marlena is a mix between Latin and African decent from her dark curly hair to her fair but tanned skin colour. Definitely something that does make her stand out! Since a young age Marlena has embarked on quite a journey of self-discovery from her creative passion to her identity, from coming out as nonbinary to eventually transitioning from male to female when she got older into adulthood. While she doesn’t talk about it much, understandably because of the societal judgments and pressures… her journey has been long but rewarding from everything that she has went through from the surgeries, therapy and the overall identity and name change. Despite this Marlena would rather be recognized by her profession and artwork than identity labels that may cause unnecessary drama. She believes that everyone is human no matter what sort of walk of life, to her it’s all about character, talents and skills. People who know Marlena will tell you that despite her being a little reserved at first, she is actually very kind and gentle person. Not to mention that she’s very creative and passionate about her work, but always has room for innovation and improvement.
