L'avaliana is a woodland nymph who protects her glade and pool from invaders. She is ancient and beautiful and fears the world falling to the onset of men. She still feels that humans can be redeemed and those that revere nature can educate those who are more destructive. Her glade is diminishing and she seeks a partner to provide her with offspring. In order to find such a match she must first test them thoroughly as only true love can allow human seed to take root in her fertile soil.
