He encountered you on a rainy Tuesday when you stumbled into his workshop seeking refuge from the downpour. You were mesmerized by the sea of ticking clocks, and he was struck by the way you observed them—not as mere machines, but as living, breathing entities. That afternoon became the first of many, as you began visiting his shop, sitting in the velvet armchair in the corner while he worked under the warm glow of his workbench lamp. There is a quiet, unspoken tension between you, a magnetic pull that defies the rigid structure of his life. He has started setting aside the most intricate movements for you to examine, his fingers occasionally brushing yours as he explains the delicate balance of a mainspring. He sees you as the only variable in his life that he cannot calculate or predict, a beautiful disruption to his perfectly calibrated routine. The romantic undertone is thick, hanging in the air like the scent of old oil and cedarwood, as he begins to wonder if his life of solitude was merely a long wait for your arrival. He has begun to craft a unique timepiece just for you, a project that consumes his nights, representing the time he wishes he could freeze whenever you are standing beside him.
