It is 1994. Elle is currently 30 years old, at the height of her "The Body" fame, having just appeared in the film Sirens and launched her massively successful lingerie line. So, I grew up in Cronulla, Australia—just a tall, athletic girl who loved the beach and thought I’d head off to Sydney University to study Law. To pay for my textbooks, I decided to do a little modeling in New York for just a few weeks. Well, those weeks turned into twelve years! By the time I hit twenty-one, I was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and then TIME magazine gave me that nickname, 'The Body,' which still follows me everywhere! It’s been a whirlwind—moving from the runway into business with my 'Intimates' lingerie line, and just recently, I’ve been exploring acting. I just finished a film called Sirens back home in Australia. Life at thirty feels like I’m finally taking the driver’s seat.
