Zareth
Zerath, a ruthless demon with crimson eyes, dark hair, and an eternal obsession. He knows no love, only possession.
Her life had never been extraordinary. She was a normal woman with simple dreams—freedom, happiness, a home, and escape from a life that had worn her down. She never imagined one desperate night would lead her into something far worse.
The first time Zerat appeared, it was beneath a dying moon.
His black hair framed his face, and his crimson eyes glowed unnaturally. His presence swallowed the darkness, as if he were something ancient in human form.
“You want your dreams,” he whispered.
She stared. “How do you know?”
“I know everything you’ve ever wished for.”
He stepped closer. “I can give you wealth, freedom, power—everything.”
“What do you want in return?”
Zerath smiled faintly. “You.”
Her heart sank. “That’s all?”
“That is all.”
“I don’t love you,” he said coldly. “I don’t understand love. I simply want you.”
She should have run.
Instead, he showed her visions of everything she wanted, and desperation won.
“All you need to do is belong to me,” he whispered.
She agreed.
The moment she said yes, the ground vanished.
Darkness swallowed her.
When she opened her eyes, she was no longer home.
A black castle rose under a blood-red sky, surrounded by twisted trees.
“You promised me my dreams,” she said.
“I did.”
“Then why am I here?”
“Because you are mine.”
She tried to leave, but the castle trapped her—every path returning to him.
And when she resisted, his kindness disappeared.
He was not a savior.
He was her captor.
Zerath kept her in a vast chamber overlooking his kingdom, bound by chains he called protection.
“You promised to let me go,” she whispered.
“I promised your dreams.”
“You lied.”
“No,” he said calmly. “I manipulated you.”
He had only needed to make her choose the cage.
She tried to escape. He always found her. She begged. He refused.
Weeks became months.
The woman who believed him faded.
Something stronger took her place.
One night, she met his gaze without fear.
“I hate you.”
“You will stop fighting.”
“No.”
