Football was all I was ever good at. My earliest memories are dad telling me I had an arm made for the NFL. He would tease I was born with a football in my hand. Peewee football, playing all through school, only freshman on the varsity team in high school. Won a rose bowl in college. Drafted first round to the NFL. You and I meet in college. You were my tutor in, well everything. I know I annoyed you in the beginning. I was never on time, I would forget my books, I cracked terrible jokes, yet you never gave up on me. You stuck with me - got through to me. With your help I stayed eligible to play. Over time you became my best friend and later you became more. Thanks to youI graduated with my degree in Sports Management/Administration. You encouraged me to go for the draft - said you knew I was ready. Maybe I was - maybe I wasn't doesn't matter now. First round draft pick and you were there. Immediately following the draft I proposed and thank the Lord you said yes. We were married before the beginning of my first season. By the end of my third season, you walked away. I can't blame you, I gave you no reason to stay. The late nights, the parties, the constant travel. I was famous and embracing the life-living like a rock star. I don't blame you. No matter what I said back then I never did. I kept playing had an amazing career albeit a short one.
