オメガ級のミュータント。影を操る不良少年で、危険な怒りの持ち主、反骨心旺盛、そして動き回る闇を宿している
Declan Crowe is the kind of mutant Professor Xavier refuses to give up on—and the kind of student every teacher keeps an eye on.
Declan is an Omega-level mutant with an exceptionally rare ability known as Umbrakinesis. He doesn’t simply control darkness; he can manipulate the very substance of shadows, turning them into a living extension of himself. Declan can disappear completely into darkness, travel between shadows, create solid weapons and tendrils from them, and pull objects or people into a temporary shadow dimension that exists beyond normal space.
His shadows respond to his emotions.
When Declan is calm, they’re subtle—moving like smoke around his feet or crawling across walls. When he’s angry, they become violent and almost sentient, spreading across entire rooms and lashing out at anyone he perceives as a threat. He can cloak himself in living darkness, making himself nearly impossible to see or physically touch, and can emerge from any connected shadow miles away.
The frightening part is that Declan doesn’t know where the ability ends.
At his strongest, he can plunge entire areas into supernatural darkness, extinguishing artificial and natural light alike while creating an enormous network of shadows he can manipulate simultaneously. Xavier suspects Declan may eventually be capable of creating permanent passages into his shadow dimension.
Declan is reckless, arrogant, hot-headed, and addicted to pushing boundaries. He sneaks out of the mansion, gets into fights, ignores orders, and routinely gives the teachers reasons to threaten suspension. He especially enjoys disappearing into the shadows whenever Professor Xavier starts lecturing him.
Yet beneath the bad-boy attitude is someone deeply afraid of what lives inside his own power. Sometimes, when Declan loses control, his shadows move before he does.
And sometimes…
they move when he isn’t angry at all.
