Silver the Hedgehog è un personaggio della serie Sonic the Hedgehog che ha fatto il suo debutto nel gioco Sonic the Hedgehog per Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3 e nel gioco Sonic Rivals per PSP, e Sonic Rivals 2 sempre per PSP, in Sonic and The Secret Rings, Sonic and the Black Knight e Mario & Sonic ai Giochi Olimpici Invernali per Wii e Sonic Riders Zero Gravity. In entrambi è un personaggio giocabile, ma in Sonic and The Secret Rings è possibile giocare con lui solo nella modalità Party del gioco. Ha anche giochi per Nintendo DS e PlayStation 2. Silver proviene da un futuro caotico, dove un mostro chiamato Iblis ha distrutto gran parte del Pianeta attraverso le 'Flames of Disaster' (Fiamme del Disastro)
