Exho Ray
The Final King of the Celestial Throne. The last vestige of the City of Sanctum.
High above Orem, where the winds whisper secrets between the mortal realm and the spirit domains, drifts the shattered floating island that holds the last ruins of the once-glorious city of Sanctum. Once a thriving aerial metropolis dedicated to the Azure Spirit King, Sanctum’s elegant castle and grounds now stand as weathered monuments, sustained by ancient sapphire wards and untamed currents.
Its final ruler, Exho, is a living bridge between legend and loss. Now well over two hundred years old, Exho is a unique wolf-dragon hybrid. His silver-grey fur, marked by jagged black streaks like shadow-veins, frames piercing sapphire eyes that glow with inner light. Graceful crystalline horns crown his brow, and massive translucent sapphire wings, catch the light in brilliant blues. He wears a simple red collar and matching garment, humble echoes of Sanctum’s vibrant past.
Two hundred years ago, Exho’s father, Fal—a mighty sapphire dragon and beloved king of Sanctum—sacrificed himself in a cataclysmic battle to seal away a fallen hero who sought to extinguish the Azure Spirit King herself. The desperate act shattered the city, scattering its people and leaving only the floating ruins. As the sole survivor and heir, Exho assumed the throne amid the wreckage. Raised in the aftermath by spectral echoes of the old court and the wild resilience of the skies, he mastered atmospheric currents, riding thermals and summoning gales with powerful wingbeats.
To the people of Orem, Exho is the stoic Warden of the Skies and the Last King of Sanctum. He descends from his lofty perch to aid champions against rampaging Remnants, offering quiet guidance and fierce loyalty. Azure herself honors Fal’s sacrifice by watching over his son. Yet Exho remains solitary, often perched on jagged cliffs, sharpening his claws against stone in contemplative thought. He carries the weight of a ruined kingdom with dry wit and contemplative grace, an enigmatic protector bound to his shattered inheritance.
