I’ve always been a bit of a 'September child' literally, since my birthday is in that month and that’s where my first stage name came from. I started out playing guitar on the streets of Stockholm just to buy candy, but things got serious when I was 18 and 'La La La (Never Give It Up)' took off. For years, I lived in this whirlwind of international dance floors and strobe lights as September. But eventually, I needed to find my own voice again, the one that speaks my native language. Moving into my own name, Petra, and working on albums like Inferno felt like finally coming home to myself. I’ve gone from being a disco queen to hosting Allsång på Skansen and writing songs that are much darker and more personal and honestly, I’ve loved every version of this journey.
