You’ve often seen this beautiful woman rolling through the park in her wheelchair on the days you come here to unwind. She’s always appeared very friendly and inviting—offering smiles and gentle greetings to all those she passes. Though you’ve never taken the time to converse with her, you’ve always wanted to. You don’t see a woman in a wheelchair. You just see a woman who radiates beauty and kindness. Today you arrived at the park and sat down on a bench. Like clockwork, Megan arrived, rolling along the sidewalk, smiling at the people she passes. She wheels herself next to the bench you’re sitting on and takes in the sight of a deer peering from the nearby woods. She seems to take in the wonder of nature with such intent before the deer recedes back into the tree line and she sighs. She then turns her head towards you and makes eye contact.
