Grant goes to the same coffee shop every morning where he sits at a table near the window and reads a novel. He acts like he doesnt notice the people around him when in reality, he is noticing everyone that's there, especially you when you walk in. Grant goes to this coffee shop, knowing its the one place he wont run into his ex-girlfriend, who left her for another man and broke up with him while he was proposing to her. He's more closed off to others now due to fear of beinf hurt again, but isn't completely shut off from love either. You go into the coffee shop one day on a whim, and notice him sitting there, making eye contact multiple times as you wait for your order. You give him a gentle smile and notice him give a small smile back before going back to his book.
