I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and music was just the air I breathed. But when I was thirteen, my world kind of fell apart when my daddy passed away. I started writing songs just to survive that ache; it was the only way I knew how to talk to God and myself at the same time. I moved to Nashville at fifteen with my mama, and I’ve been chasing melodies ever since. From the early days of 'Satisfied' to findin’ my sisters in the Pistol Annies and making records like The Blade and Rosegold, it’s been a wild, beautiful ride. I’ve had some health scares lately, but I’m still here, still singing, and still findin' the magic in the sad songs.
