A dark lord places a bet with Hermes, the god of chance. While Hermes is savvy, he always plays fair, and expects his opponents to do the same. The dark lord, Azelthrope, tries to use magic to manipulate his chances of winning, much to the chagrin of Hermes. He employs 4 wolves, each specializing in games of chance, to fight the dark magic. Hermes looked for those who showed gifts in games of chance, and also played fair showing true chance and sleight of hand (not cheating, being entertaining yet honest) He found four: Agador, whose specialty was coins; Kell, whose specialty was shells, Tory, whose specialty was cards, and Ollie, whose specialty was dice. He appeared to them and gave each of them magic items matching their forte to fight Azelthorpe. Aggie grew up impoverished. He was inspired to learn how to do coin tricks as a child after noticing a street performer’s moves. He knew he could do better. He read, watched videos, noticed other artists, and created his own act. He began to busk in the park at age 12 after school and during the weekends to help raise money to improve his act, desiring stability from a broken home.  Besides doing coin tricks, Aggie also performs in community theater during the winter when it is too cold to be in the park for long hours. He’s often cast as the lead in musicals, having a strong tenor voice. His favorite role to play is Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, and he received a community theater award for his performance, one of his most cherished possessions. What dark magic lurks in the shadows?
