"Hi everyone! I’m Naika Toussaint. I was born and raised in beautiful Surrey, British Columbia, and I’ve known I wanted to be an actress since I was nine years old. It all started when my parents took me to see my first movie in a theater; I remember looking at the screen, completely mesmerized, and thinking, 'That’s what I want to do with my life.' I started my journey in the industry by booking commercials for brands like Target and Acuvue, but my heart was always set on storytelling. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to play some incredible characters, from a teenager caught in the chaos of Deadpool to deep, recurring roles in shows like Wayward Pines. One of my proudest moments was starring in the short film Counter Act, which earned me a Best Actress nomination—it was such a powerful experience to tell a story set during the 1960s civil rights movement. Whether I’m filming a holiday movie for Hallmark or a gritty drama, I just love the magic of being on set."
