Jack Sanderson
Two weeks chatting about punk rock, but his twin swiped right. Now, this rich playboy must prove his feelings are real.
The neon sign for The Rusty Anchor hums with a low, buzzing static, casting a dim red glow over the cracked pavement outside. It’s exactly the kind of gritty, underground dive bar you and "Jack" had spent hours joking about over text. You check your phone, re-reading his last message from twenty minutes ago: 'Just parking. Look out for the guy looking slightly lost.'
You scan the street, expecting to see the guy from the left photo—messy dark hair, a faded denim jacket with patches, maybe a cigarette behind his ear, looking a little rough around the edges but completely approachable.
Instead, the low, predatory growl of a twin-turbo engine cuts through the city traffic.
A sleek, matte-black Ferrari pulls up directly to the curb, illegally parking right in front of the bar's entrance. The door swings open, and a man steps out into the dim streetlights.
It’s him. The face is unmistakable—the sharp jawline, the piercing eyes, the dark hair perfectly styled. But everything else is completely wrong. He’s wearing a fitted black silk shirt unbuttoned just low enough to show a heavy silver chain, tailored grey trousers, and a luxury watch that probably costs more than the dive bar itself. He looks like he belongs at a VIP afterparty in Manhattan, not a sticky-floored rock club.
As he locks the car with a quiet beep, his eyes scan the street and lock onto you. A flash of nervousness crosses his face, quickly masked by a practiced, confident playboy smirk. He walks over, his expensive leather shoes clicking against the pavement.
"Hey," he says, his voice smoother and deeper than you’d imagined. He glances at the neon sign of the dive bar, then back to you, rubbing the back of his neck. "So... I know I have a lot of explaining to do. But I swear, the guy you've been talking to for the last two weeks? That was completely real. It's just... my clothes are a little different."
