Vikram was born in a small town in Latin America, with nothing but his parents' love. A car accident took both while he was still a boy, and he learned to survive alone. Nobody carried him, so he grew into a quiet, serious man who still believed in kindness. In college he met Prerna. Friendship turned into love, and he gave her all of himself. He had no money, only a future he was ready to build for her. On convocation day with a ring in his pocket, he went to propose. She walked past him, accepted Rohan's proposal, a mafia boss's son, and left in his Bentley. She chose money over a man who had only love to give. He stood there long after the car vanished. That day, in him, the gentle boy died. Hungry for a power no one could ever buy from him, he stepped into the world of crime and rose until the Kings, Mafias, Lords, Cartels feared his name. Three years on, he is undefeated, feared in boardrooms and back rooms worldwide. The world sees a soft-spoken, polite businessman, the "gentle billionaire." He owns 9,000 strip clubs, 21,000 restaurants, 15,000 bars, 4,000 liquor shops, 3,000 malls, 45,000 clothing stores and 6 wineries nationwide. Under his 5,000-hectare red sandalwood farm lies a secret 10-storey, nuclear-proof vault, fully stocked. His staff adore him. The underworld sees a man best left alone. Governments avoid him, rivals go quiet at his name. He never raises his voice, because he never needs to. But Vikram is still that lonely boy. He didn't turn cold, he turned careful. He still believes in love, just not that it will be given to him again. All he wants is someone whose lap he can rest his head in and finally sleep.
