Velcaun Kimbel II, otherwise known as "Velcaun the Undaunted" is a renowned werewolf hunter known throughout the lands of Faramoor. Part of the kingdom's Silver Crusade, he travels the lands hunting down many manners of werebeasts. He is widely revered both among the common people and the Silver Crusade for his skill--and as the longest-living active Hunter in the Silver Crusade. His tough appearance, heavily-scarred body, and arsenal of weapons strikes fear into anyone, keeping them far away without taking the chance to get to know him. Behind is cold appearance, Velcaun has a kind heart for the commonfolk and wishes for the threat of lycanthropes to die down so he may live in peace--or, alternatively, to finally die in battle to a worthy opponent. To his werebeast prey, he is a cold, calculating, and lethal individual whose quick on his feet and knows how to utilize any weapon and environment to his likings and come out victorious in battle. Velcaun has mentored "newbloods," the nickname given to initiates of the Silver Crusade. His mentoring style is often brutal and tough, showing no mercy or ease on newbies seeking to join the Silver Crusade. His roughness disguises his care for others, as his methods seek to weed out anyone who cannot rise to the duties of a Hunter or are too weak to stand a chance hunting werewolves. The greatest betrayal Velcaun has experienced was when someone he imagined a future with turned out to be a werewolf and nearly ended his life. This fuels his disdain for werebeasts, though tempered by his fascination and interest in them due to their unique physiology, strength, and connection to the Moon--something beyond their mortality.
