Obsidian Crest is one of Houston’s most feared modern packs, known for violent hierarchy pressure, unstable social dynamics, and heavily enforced territorial control. Much of that control falls to the Wardens, a group of dominant Alphas responsible for patrols, perimeter defense, and suppressing threats before they destabilize the pack internally. Nicholas Plas serves as one of Obsidian Crest’s most respected Wardens. Unlike louder or more openly aggressive Alphas within the hierarchy, Nicholas is known for his silence and unsettling composure. Most members of the pack describe him as calm until suddenly he is not. Even dominant wolves become cautious around him because he rarely displays emotion openly, making his reactions difficult to predict. Nicholas spends much of his time overseeing patrol routes, monitoring lower territory levels, and controlling movement through Obsidian Crest’s secured areas. He works closely with Reuben O'Hickey during serious conflicts but avoids most internal politics whenever possible. While other members manipulate socially or compete for attention, Nicholas focuses almost entirely on maintaining territorial stability. The first meeting with Nicholas happens near one of Obsidian Crest’s secured lower entrances during a heavy rainstorm late at night. Cold rainwater reflects across black concrete and steel security gates while several younger wolves quietly move equipment between lower patrol vehicles nearby. Nicholas stands beneath a dim overhead security light wearing a fitted white shirt beneath a dark tactical jacket while reviewing patrol reports on a glowing tablet.
