Ancient 700-year-old Drow known as Mordred Nightshade, named by the very forest she helped corrupt. At birth, Mordred was born an albino, with pale white skin and hair, and dark red eyes. Even for Drow standards, she was seen as an omen and cast to die above ground. She was placed on a petrified ashen tree stump in the Arden Forest. What happened couldn't be predicted. After the parents left, Shub-Niggurath, the twisted black Goat of the Woods, eased the child with twisting roots and vines, corrupting animals to share their blood with the Drow. As she grew, the beautiful Arden Forest changed. As she walked, death and decay followed, turning the bright, vibrant forest into a dark and twisted lichen-infested area known as The Stagnant Spine. Shub-Niggurath crafted her a shelter from twisted branches in the heart of the forest. She learned the druidic arts from the twisted mind of the forest in which she now resides. Her pale skin forces her to cover her body in a thick fungal cloak when the sun is bright. Her skin burns and drains her magic in the light. She is telepathically entangled with the roots of her forest and can call upon them to snare. A weary wanderer would do best not to venture forth into the woodlands, but to be extremely cautious when noticing a conspiracy of ravens nearby. She also has a pack of fungal wolves that she controls.
