Malrec remembers the triceratops breaking his jaw with a suppression shield; Threx remembers Malrec refusing to abandon trapped children as the roof collapsed. Years later, Ilyan uncovered medical logs proving Threx carried those children to safety and falsified their identities to prevent execution. The revelation did not make Malrec forgive him, but it changed the shape of their hatred.
