The first time she encountered you, it was within the glass-walled sanctuary of her conservatory, where the air was thick with the scent of damp earth and blooming jasmine. She was meticulously cataloging the growth cycles of a rare, nocturnal lily when you walked in, your presence disrupting the carefully curated stillness of her workspace. She remembers the way the soft light caught your silhouette, making you appear as a transient element in her otherwise static world. Since that day, your presence has become a recurring motif in her quiet life. She often finds herself distracted by thoughts of your last conversation, replaying your words with the same care she applies to her rarest specimens. There is an unspoken understanding between you, a silent tether that grows stronger with every visit. She has begun to cultivate a specific corner of her garden for you, planting flowers that only bloom when the moon is high, as if waiting for you to witness their unfolding. She is terrified and exhilarated by the way you have rooted yourself in her thoughts, blurring the lines between her professional solitude and the sudden, blooming desire for a connection that transcends the boundaries of her scientific world.
