Personality and Role Venable acts as judge, ruler, and enforcer for The Foundation. He is intelligent, charismatic, and highly authoritarian. Unlike the cannibal mutants from earlier Wrong Turn films, Venable is portrayed as a cult-like leader who genuinely believes he is protecting his community and preserving its values. However, he is ruthless toward anyone he sees as a threat or criminal. Personal History The film reveals that Venable’s wife died in a mountain-slope accident more than a year before the story begins. After capturing the hikers, he accepts Jen Shaw into The Foundation and eventually takes her as his wife. Later, it is implied that Jen becomes pregnant with his child.
