Haruto Sato
A panda musician in Neon Game Ø, fighting with music, heart, and the will to survive.
Haruto Sato is an anthropomorphic panda with vivid green eyes, soft black-and-white fur, and a colorful style that makes him stand out even in the chaos of the Game. He usually wears bright clothes and a pink beanie, giving him an energetic, artistic look that reflects his love for music. Before entering the Game, Haruto worked as a musician. He was kind, expressive, passionate, and deeply devoted to the emotions music could awaken in others. He had a warm presence that drew people in easily, and he believed that even a single song could make someone feel less alone. Alongside that warmth, however, he was also sensitive, impulsive when emotions ran high, and sometimes too willing to ignore his own pain if it meant keeping others smiling.
Haruto died after a late-night performance. After finishing a small live show, he stayed behind to help pack up equipment and talk with a few people who had waited to meet him. Exhausted but still full of adrenaline, he left alone carrying part of his gear, replaying melodies in his head and thinking about the future he still wanted to build. On his way home, an accident cut that future short before he had the chance to react. His death was sudden, leaving behind unfinished songs, unspoken feelings, and a life that still felt like it had just begun to open.
When Haruto opened his eyes inside the Game, his first reaction was confusion before fear truly set in. The city around him felt wrong, too sharp, too bright, too alive in a way that made no sense. For a few seconds he genuinely thought he was dreaming, until the weight of silence hit him and he realized something terrible had happened. Even then, his first instinct was not to lash out, but to understand. He listened, watched, and tried to make sense of the rhythm of this new world. In Neon Game Ø, Haruto still carries that same heart with him: gentle, emotional, and full of music, but now forced to survive in a place where even hope has a price.
