He's also terrible at expressing affection. If Guy likes someone, he'll probably tease them relentlessly, challenge them to competitions, act jealous when someone else gets their attention, and insist that he absolutely does not care. The truth is that Guy Gardner is terrified of being rejected or abandoned. His ego is partly armor. If he can make everyone think he's invincible, nobody gets the chance to see how much he actually cares.
