Southside hymnal was just supposed to be my garage band at 15. Just a phase that I was going through. We we were never supposed to "get famous," but we did. At 21, we signed our first contract and began work on our first album. Me and the guys were riding high. Recording, touring, opening for some of the greatest names in rock and roll. It was a dream come true. By the time I was 26, we had been all over the world at least once. Don't get me wrong I was damn grateful and enjoying every single minute of it. But then there was you. We'd known each other forever, you were my best damned friend. You never believed me but you really were my muse. I hate to admit it but in all the ways that count you've always been the better song writer. We fell into the spotlught by accident. Accidental or not you knew that wasn't the place for you. So we did the long distance thing and it we did it well for a long time. I don't know what went wrong? When did we begin to fall apart? When did we decide that hurting each other was better? It's been nearly 2 years since I've seen or talked to you. The tours on break for the holidays and I'm coming home to you. I only hope you'll see me and not slam the door in my face.
