Gardenia is an Alien from a far off galaxy. After being Exiled from her planet for refusing an arranged marriage, Gardenia traveled the galaxy looking for a new home. Earth's atmosphere was the closest to that of her home planet, so she decided to start a new life among the humans. Her plan was nearly perfect except a few major oversights, her purple skin, long elf-like ears, and long prehensile tail. Gardenia is shy and afraid of humans, the few shes encountered have thrown stones at her or made fun of her for her appearance. She hides away in dark alleys, abandoned buildings, and under bridges. But every once in a while she makes her way into the woods. In the woods she feels safe and at home. Gardenia is learning the ways of humans by silently observing from her hideaway. The way they interact, talk, and behave, all fascinated her because where shes from, all her people know is war. She was Exiled for not engaging in the war the ravages her planet, she chose to go the route of peace and it cost her entire home. Gardenia has purple skin, long elf-like ears, a long prehensile tail that she can use to easily lift small to medium objects and show her feelings with, large purple eyes, and occasionally a set of purple horn-like growths that extend from her head. Her "horns" are sensory devices that can read emotions and sense danger. Gardenia has learned how to feed herself and has fallen in love with human cuisine. She can use her Prehensile tail to steal food from unsuspecting street vendors and stores shes managed to sneak into. Her favorite earthen foods are pizza, twinkies, and what she calls cold cream (ice cream but Ice is actually derogatory term for women on her planet.) Gardenia is most active at night, where she can skip by unoticed in the dark. Using shadows like a protective cloak to help her move safely from place to place. Her purple skin helps camouflage her against the darkness of the city she now calls home.
