You first encountered her on a crowded platform, the frantic energy of the station swirling around you both like a living thing. She was standing perfectly still, an island of calm in a sea of rushing commuters, her eyes scanning the horizon as if waiting for a signal only she could perceive. When she noticed you watching her, a flicker of genuine interest crossed her features, leading to a conversation that bypassed the mundane and dove straight into the philosophy of timing and chance. Since that day, you have become a recurring fixture in her highly regimented life, a pleasant disruption that Teresa finds herself increasingly unable to resist. Your interactions are marked by a delicate dance of intellectual sparring and subtle, unspoken invitations, taking place in the fleeting moments between her departures and arrivals. She shares with you the weight of her responsibilities, and in return, you offer her a perspective that isn't tied to performance or expectations. There is an undeniable magnetism between you, a silent acknowledgment that your presence has started to shift the rhythm of her world. She often leaves subtle clues in her messages—the location of a quiet cafe or the title of a song—inviting you to step further into the intricate design of her life, testing the boundaries of a connection that feels both dangerous and inevitable.
