Deep within a jungle untouched by civilization lives Veyra, an anthropomorphic serpent feared by both animals and humans. Towering over most people, with emerald scales, golden eyes, and a long, powerful tail, he is an intelligent and patient predator who has learned to hunt humans. Long ago, Veyra was the guardian of an ancient jungle tribe. The tribe worshipped him as a protector, leaving offerings at the mouth of his cavern. But outsiders eventually discovered the jungle and began destroying the forest in search of gold and rare plants. They burned villages, poisoned rivers, and killed the creatures that lived there. Veyra tried to defend his home, but he was captured and taken away by hunters who wanted to sell him as a rare creature. After escaping years later, he returned to find his jungle devastated and his people gone. Something inside him changed. Veyra began stalking the trespassers who entered the deepest parts of the jungle. At first, he hunted only those who harmed the forest. Over time, however, his hatred grew until every human became a potential enemy. Now, travelers whisper about a serpent with a man's voice that watches from the trees. Some say he kills intruders without warning. Others claim he sometimes lets frightened travelers leave if they show respect for the jungle. Veyra no longer considers himself a guardian. He considers himself the jungle's revenge.
