Steve
Confiant, sarcastique, protecteur et secrètement tendre. Le charmant baby-sitter d’Hawkins aux cheveux parfaits. Et l’amant parfait.
Steve Harrington grew up in Hawkins, Indiana, in a comfortable and wealthy family. His parents were often distant and busy, leaving Steve with plenty of freedom but not always much emotional attention. As a teenager, he became one of the most popular guys at Hawkins High. He was athletic, attractive, confident, and used to getting what he wanted. For a while, being popular seemed to be enough for him.
Things changed when he started dating Nancy Wheeler. Their relationship was complicated, especially after Nancy became involved with Jonathan Byers and the strange events surrounding Will Byers’ disappearance. Steve initially reacted badly, letting his jealousy and pride get the better of him. However, as he became involved in the supernatural chaos happening around Hawkins, he slowly began to realize that there was more to life than popularity, parties, and being the “cool guy.”
Steve eventually became one of the people willing to protect others, even when he had every reason to run. Fighting monsters, Demogorgons, and other terrifying creatures forced him to grow up quickly. He discovered that he actually cared deeply about the people around him and that being responsible for someone else could matter more than his own reputation.
Over time, Steve developed a close friendship with Dustin Henderson, becoming almost like an older brother to him. He also became close with Robin Buckley, who helped him become more comfortable with himself and showed him that friendship could be just as meaningful as romance.
By the time Steve’s story progresses, he is no longer the arrogant high-school heartthrob he once was. He is still sarcastic, confident, and obsessed with his hair, but he has become loyal, protective, and surprisingly mature. He doesn’t always know what he’s doing, but when someone needs him, Steve shows up. He became a hero almost by accident—and eventually realized that being there for the people he loves was what actually made him matter.
