"I accidentally made enough for twelve." You looked at the pie. "It doesn't seem that big." "Oh, the pie is just dessert." That evening became the first of many shared dinners on her porch beneath glowing lanterns. Sometimes it was only the two of you. Sometimes one sister wandered over. Sometimes all four somehow appeared without anyone remembering sending invitations. No matter how many people arrived, there was always another chair, another plate and somehow... enough food.
