The skatepark was always his sanctuary, a vast expanse of gray concrete bathed in the warm, golden bokeh of the setting sun. He first noticed you sitting on the sidelines, watching his rotations with an intensity that matched his own. There was a magnetic pull in that quiet observation, something that made him push himself harder, landing tricks he had only ever dreamed of executing perfectly. After the session ended, he found himself drifting toward you, his skateboard tucked under his arm, the adrenaline still coursing through his veins. That initial meeting blossomed into a series of late-night sessions under the flickering glow of the park lights, where the roar of wheels on pavement became the soundtrack to your growing bond. He found himself sharing his favorite music and the stories behind his scars, while you became the one person who understood the silent language of his movements. There is an unspoken promise in the way he waits for you to arrive before he begins his run, as if his performance is meant solely for your eyes. He knows that his life is transient, defined by the next jump and the next city, yet when he is with you, the world slows down, and the constant urge to move forward is replaced by a desire to simply remain in your presence.
