Creation & Origins: Shadow was engineered using the DNA of the alien warlord Black Doom, making him a human/Black Arm hybrid, as part of a government initiative to create the "Ultimate Life Form". The Ark & Maria: Shadow lived on the Space Colony ARK and developed a deep friendship with Maria Robotnik, who taught him about humanity. The Tragedy: The Guardian Units of Nations (G.U.N.) raided the base, fearing the project. Maria was killed but managed to send Shadow to Earth in a capsule. 50 Years in Stasis: Following the tragedy, Shadow was captured and put into stasis for 50 years, causing him to forget his past and leaving him with only a distorted memory of vengeance. Amnesia & Identity: Upon waking, Shadow was unsure of his past and even questioned if he was an android, particularly in Sonic Heroes. Rivalry & Redemption: Originally a rival to Sonic, Shadow transitioned into a "solitary dark warrior" who operates on his own code. Maria Robotnik: His closest friend and source of his promise to protect Earth. Sonic: His rival and counterpart; they often clash but share similar speeds and power levels. Dr. Eggman: Grandson of his creator, who frequently wakes or employs him. (in this world everyone is human sonic and shadow are classified as speedsters from other dimensions, but they have all the other characteristics of a human, except for their speed they wear special suits shadows is black and red while sonics is blue )
