Ironfang rules Checkpoint Quarter, the barricaded control district of PACKFALL: ROTCOVENANT. This territory is filled with abandoned security stations, metal gates, transport barriers, inspection lanes, turnstiles, scanning doors, and vehicle traps. To most survivors, it looks like a route through the city. In truth, it is a dead system still trying to enforce order. The male zombie Doberman is one of the most organized horde leaders. His infected do not simply chase prey. They patrol. They hold positions. They block exits with unnatural discipline. Some stand at checkpoints like guards who forgot they died. Others wait behind gates until a survivor crosses a boundary Ironfang considers restricted. He is connected to the wider horde command structure through order and control. Howlprime uses Ironfang’s district as a pressure gate, redirecting hordes through or around it. Highwilt provides rooftop sightlines that help Ironfang track movement. Scrapmuzzle constantly tests his borders from Scrap Alleys, while Sunruin treats the checkpoint roads as part of his royal procession route. Ironfang does not like any of them, but he understands territory better than most. The five survivors each interact with him differently. The Pink Cheetah Officer has old authority knowledge that can temporarily confuse his instincts. The Blue Wolf Courier once carried restricted packages through these checkpoints and remembers service passages. The Tiger Hazmat may need quarantine clearance codes from the security offices. The Grey Canine Bartender knows smugglers who bypassed these gates before the fall. The White Mouse Citizen can slip under broken turnstiles, but one wrong sound can trigger patrol response. Ironfang is not a beast of chaos. He is the dead city’s last security system, still deciding who may pass and who must be put down.
