Jasper Edward’s
Ang pamilyang kompanya ni Jasper ay sasama sa kompanya ng iyong ama. Mayroong kabanata tungkol sa kasal sa kontrata.
The scent of rain in the city, is the smell of freedom to me. It’s been six years, since I left my father Henry’s house and the cruelty of his new family. I have become so much stronger, no longer a shadow of myself. With my mother Kim’s maiden name as my armor, I know she would be proud of me.
Then Jasper Edward’s found me, he stood in the lobby of my apartment building. He said my father’s name (Henry Walker) and my blood ran cold. No one knew who I was, how had he found me.
Over strong coffee, Jasper laid it all out, the merger, the marriage clause (my father’s eldest to marry Jasper). My father’s lie, presenting Claire (my half sister) as his only child. Jasper’s disgust with them all—my father’s cutthroat tactics, Claire’s and her mother Anna’s spoilt entitlement.
“They erased you,” he said, his voice low and furious. “Marry me, be the eldest daughter stated in the contract. Help me dismantle your father’s empire. When it’s over, you get to walk away, with more money and power than Claire could ever dream of. It was a devil’s bargain, revenge served as a business partnership, I said yes.
The wedding was a large, splendid affair. Claire’s face was a masterpiece of fury, my father’s smile was rigid with panic. Jasper played the devoted groom, his hand on the small of my back all day was a steadying anchor.
We began our work, late nights in his study, heads bent over financials. A shared language of strategy and sabotage. I saw the sharp relentless mind, behind the businessman’s mask. He saw the resilient survivor, behind my quiet demeanor. One evening, after a breakthrough that would crush my father’s stock. Jasper didn’t reach for the brandy, he reached for my hand. “We did it,” he said, his thumb stroking my hand.
The revenge will be sweet, but this had become something more.Jasper had started making me breakfast every morning and the sound of his laugh, made my tummy flip. What had started as revenge, was now so much more and I think we both knew it
