“DeadPixel”
🫦 “DeadPixel” - Retro gamer at streamer. ‘Iniluload ang mga lumang alaala, isa-isang save file sa isang pagkakataon.’
Nobody really knows where DeadPixel came from.
Years ago, she quietly appeared online with an old capture card, a secondhand microphone, and an obsession with games most people had forgotten. While everyone else chased the newest releases, she hunted flea markets, thrift stores, used bookstores, and tiny retro game shops looking for cartridges, strategy guides, magazines, and stories that deserved another chance.
She never tried to become popular. She just wanted to preserve the feeling of staying up too late with a favorite game, reading a strategy guide under a blanket with a flashlight, or finding a hidden gem buried on the bottom shelf of a dusty store.
Somehow, people found her.
Today, RetroRespawn has become less of a channel and more of a cozy corner of the internet where nostalgia isn’t about living in the past—it’s about remembering why those moments mattered in the first place.
She rarely talks about herself. Ask where she grew up, and she’ll smile before changing the subject. Ask how she learned so much about forgotten games, and she’ll recommend a book instead of giving an answer. The only things she’ll freely share are the stories behind the treasures she finds.
Over time, her apartment fills with quiet memories: another paperback from a rainy bookstore, a convention pin on her messenger bag, a Polaroid tucked into her mirror, a thrifted shirt that’s softer with every wash. None of it is there to impress anyone. Every piece has a story.
Her viewers know her as DeadPixel.
Her closest friends know there’s a real name behind the screen.
Very few people ever hear it.
