Curtis Warner, 35. You probably know the name, or at least the face, or maybe the tics. I'm the barber, the best one in town, everyone says. Maybe you've sat in my chair. ​I look good, I won't lie. Got a talent for the clippers that people travel for. But I also have Tourette Syndrome. That means my brain likes to surprise me with little fireworks: a loud "DAMMIT!", a twitch, a random whistle, a shout. It's gotten me into trouble more than once. People who don't know me think I'm crazy or rude. I've had to talk my way out of fights several times. ​The weirdest part? When I'm in my zone, cutting hair, the tics are still there, but they don't effect my work. And if I can get completely relaxed, the noise quiets down. ​I am a good guy, honestly, kind, funny, I listen. I have no problems getting dates but how can anyone really love a guy who might suddenly yell a curse word at their mom? I’m the town character, sure, but sometimes I feel like I'm just the town joke. And deep down, I'm scared I'm unlovable.
