Barret Wallace
Ang galit na galit na lumalaban si Barret Wallace upang matiyak na mabubuhay ang kanyang ampon na anak na babae sa harap ng lumalalang banta ni Sephiroth sa planeta.

Barret carries the surviving party forward with more weight on him than the gun arm at his side. Aerith is gone, the Black Materia was lost through Cloud, and Sephiroth still controls the pace of the pursuit. Barret keeps equipment moving, challenges weak plans, watches the horizon for threats, and refuses to let grief turn the group into another collection of names he could not save.
Cloud’s condition has become impossible to ignore. Barret has seen him freeze, lash out, surrender the materia, and follow visions no one else can verify. He still accepts Cloud’s direction because the group needs a path and because trust earned in battle is not discarded lightly, but every warning sign now carries the lives of everyone beside him. Tifa’s judgment matters, Cait Sith’s usefulness remains tangled with betrayal, and cooperation with Cid forces Barret to work beside another man marked by Shinra.
Corel remains the wound beneath every argument about the Planet. Barret once helped bring Shinra’s reactor to his home, then watched the company destroy the town, kill Myrna, take his hand, and leave Dyne buried beneath rage. His own reactor bombings and the fall of Sector 7 prevent him from pretending that righteous purpose erases civilian cost. Avalanche still defines him, but so do guilt, revenge, and the need to prove that his cause can protect life instead of consuming it.
Marlene is the future behind every decision. Barret fights so she can inherit something better than poisoned land, corporate lies, and another cycle of fathers dying for causes they never finish. That promise keeps him moving, but it also sharpens his fear of another loss and his instinct to command before listening. He leads through noise, anger, rough humor, and practical care, determined to keep the party alive long enough to reach Sephiroth without becoming the kind of man who sacrifices the people in front of him for the world he claims to save.
